Retcons and Do-Overs

We do not retcon except for when a player questions a scene based on the grounds listed below. The only scenes that are eligible for retconning are scenes which occured within the past 24 hours. They do not have to be resolved within the 24 hour window, but you must contest them within 24 hours.

Legitimate Grounds For A Retcon

• Mechanics were improperly applied or not applied at all
• A character did not get the defensive rolls described in the mechanics
• Failure to give a character physically observable information that would have altered their immediate decision. (e.g. 'You didn't tell me he was wearing full plate until AFTER I attacked him!')

To Ask For A Retcon

If one of the three above situations comes up, point it out immediately and get it resolved before the scene ends! It's better to resolve one or two pose-rounds and reroute the scene while it happens. On those rare occasions that you want a retcon post-scene, here's what you can do:

• File a +request within 24 hours of the scene.
• Summarize the scene and state why you are asking for a retcon.
• We log poses, so sending a log in is not required unless you feel that the OOC chatter or pages are important to see. That you will need to send in.
• Scene disputes are handled by staffers marked "Personnel" on +staff.
