Omitted Backgrounds

There are a few backgrounds from Mage that we don't employ on Modern Nights.

Backup: The 'possibilities' with Backup are accessible through buying Contacts, Allies, Retainer or Cult, or leveraging Influence.

Certification: We have legal merits and flaws instead of this Background.

Chantry: One may build a chantry ICly but we do not offer it as a background.

Node: One may cultivate a node ICly but we do not offer it as a background.

Rank: We do not offer Rank. You can make a character of rank through the other stats available to you such as Influence.

Requisitions and Secret Weapons: We do not offer Technocracy characters and thus do not offer these backgrounds.

Spies: We do not offer the Spies background and ask that you instead turn to Contacts, Allies, Retainer, and Cult.
