An intense manhunt is deepening by the day as new bodies surface along the rocks of San Francisco's northwestern shore. Law enforcement officials are working to track down an unknown, male individual being called the 'Fort Point Killer'.

Despite his local moniker, a string of similar murders last year in Nevada which remain unsolved suggest our night stalker to be far more prolific than previously suspected.

Overnight, mayor Paris Reid canceled a press conference that was set to be held today. Reports say the cancellation came at the request of the U.S. Coast Guard, who asked the mayor to hold the update.

The known victims now number six, starting with Adam Willets, homeless man, back in late November. Since then, 29 year old Amelia Spencer, 38 year old Ellen Hart, and local father Michael Sparks have been added to the death toll. The latest two victims' severed remains have yet to be identified, but are two distinct people.

One leg and one arm have washed up on shore in an advanced state of decay. Officials have been combing the waters west of Baker Beach and Fort Point Rock in an attempt to recover any possible partial remains. The nature of their provenance ask the haunting question: how many victims has this murderer truly claimed?

SFPD has issued a notice to its residents to avoid Baker Beach and stay east of Lincoln Boulevard. Residents in scenic Sea Cliff near China Beach have been advised to remain indoors at night and not to travel alone.
