Government Influence
Government Influence is split into the below Specialties. When taking points of any given Specialty, please specify which municipality you are taking it in (such as San Francisco, Berkeley, San Jose, Oakland, etc).
Please note that while investing in Government Influence may reward you with having nationally prominent politicians in your pocket because some of them certainly do live here, the Pelosis in your rolodex are the crown jewels of your network, not the bread and butter of it. The intended scope of Government Influence is and shall remain limited to the San Francisco Bay Area and the State of California. Government Influence may earn you the joys of having a State Representative parroting your talking points, but is not a key to control the federal government.
Health Regulation
Business Regulation
Business Regulation Influence means you have a network of officials, public servants, secretaries and the odd attorney affiliated with the various offices of business and comercial oversight, such as the regulation and issuance of various business permits and licenses (e.g. liquor licenses, cannabis business permits, etc), business loans, and consumer services.
Business Regulation influence opens the door to any Political influence actions, but will lower the difficulty of political influence actions that specifically fall under the jurisdiction of business/commercial offices and/or enforce business regulations. Administration

Financial Regulation Influence means you have a network of officials, public servants, secretaries and the odd attorney affiliated with the various offices of financial oversight. That is largely to say tax collection and tax regulations but also financial research (such as legislative analyses, demographic research, economic research).
Financial Regulation influence opens the door to any Political influence actions, but will lower the difficulty of political influence actions that specifically fall under the jurisdiction of financial/fiscal/tax-collection offices and/or enforce tax regulations. Urban Planning
Urban Planning Influence means you have a network of officials, public servants, secretaries and the odd attorney affiliated with the various offices of housing and urban development oversight, such as affordable housing, housing inspection regulations, and zoning. It also extends into the various offices of environmental oversight, such as the Environmental Health department, SF Department Of The Environment, and other regulatory bodies concerned with the environment (like the EPA).
