News Reports This Morning:

At approximately 3 AM last night, a transport truck crossing the Golden Gate Bridge was sideswiped by another vehicle passing it at high speed. The driver of the truck, identified as John Miller, lost control of his transport and ended up going over the side of the bridge along with the entire rig. Mr. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.

The company that owned the vehicles, Revurex Computing, reported that Mr. Miller was a respected member of the company, and had been with them for 15 years prior to this tragic loss. When asked about the cargo lost in the bay and whether it would have an environmental impact in the near future, the Revurex representative said that the truck was hauling empty server racks, and that the truck itself would be a bigger impact on the environment than several tons of metal rails and mounting materials.

In addition he pointed out that Revurex had already begun the recovery operation, and were dedicated to no less than the removal of 100% of the materials that went into the ocean during the wreck.

A representative of the State of California announced that the Golden Gate Bridge would be closed for repairs for the next 3 months at a minimum, and that they had already put detours into place to reroute people to enter San Francisco by crossing the Richmond Bridge and then turning south.

Further, the representative of Revurex Computing announced that Revurex would be giving the State of California $25,000,000 to help them restore the bridge as quickly as possible.
