Timeline:
1. On <DATE, TIME> the Chantry hosted a duel between Ronny Sutherland of the Order of Hermes, bani Bonisagus (challenger) and Joss Atkinson of the Order of Heremes, bani Tytalus.
2. There were apparently two Certamen Marshalls on site. The Certamen circle caster is unknown. A spirit of unknown nature and origin was called in to adjudicate the duel.
3. According to Rune, the duel was going hot and heavy and the crowd was having a good time.
4. Rune described a big flash, a blinding light, then Sutherland was dead on the ground with a hole blown through his chest where his heart should have been.
5. The room erupts into chaos. Everyone starts calling for blood. An unusual response for otherwise disciplined mages. Why straight to blood? Is there a link to Case 002? Mind effects that make people more aggressive, right by the Chantry?
6. Rune determines that the room is about to turn ugly. He and (Redacted) get Atkinson and shuffle him off into an alley on the Chantry premesis before anyone can try to harm him. The Marshalls were attending to the crowd.
7. Atkinson confesses to the crime. According to Rune, he said he had to do it and he can't talk about it. Atkinson asks them to call the Quaesitor. Rune did not think that Atkinson seemed possessed in any way (no probable link to Case 001 at this time).
8. Many of the spectators were out-of-towners.
Persons of Interest:
*Rune remembers at least two Marshalls on-site, but didn't see them at all until after things got ugly. Who are they?
* The spirit was "some sort of mantis looking thing." Who summoned the spirit? Who was the spirit? Spirit did call for Atkinson to be detained.
*There was an old lady behind Rune who Rune thought was a badass. Who was that? Grandma Kitten Sweater. Might be good to find out what she knew or observed.

*Pull the betting records, see the percentage that betted on Atkinson vs. Sutherland. Less an investigative To Do and more of a CRA to-do.
*Find out who set the certamen circle.
*Find out the names and ranks of the Marshalls. Talk to them if possible.
*Find out who summoned that spirit and that spirit's nature. Find someone to talk to the spirit if possible. (Redacted) might know who to talk to.
* Find out what the terms of the duel were supposed to be and why they were dueling in the first place.
* Find out about Atkinson's family, friends, enemies, homelife. Is it an alieas?
* Find out about Sutherland's friends, family, homelife, enemies. Is it an alias?
* Who cleared the out-of-towners and spectators? Who was on the guest list? Anyone of interest?
*Find out what (Redacted) remembers of that n ight and what he thinks.
* Examine the room where the duel was held, if permitted to. Oh who are you kidding? Find someone who is better at magick than you to do this. Which is basically everyone right now. Damn it.
* Find out if any other locals were there and get their impression of events.
*Find Grandma Kitten Sweater and talk to her.
