Timeline:
1. On <DATE, TIME> a Black female, identity unknown, chased an Asian male, identity unknown, out of a building in CLarion Alley. He was recording her on his phone.
2. She claimed he was following her, harassing her, spying on her.
3. He claimed he only brought his phone out when it looked like she was going to attack him.
4. As various individuals tried to diffuse the situation with varying degrees of effectiveness, Corinna suddenly decided that Asian Male was an actual spy. She tried to pull her gun on him.
5. Rune, Sam, and Khoi restrained her.
6. There was a Mind Magick effect on the Black Female. Attempted to dispel it.
7. Could not detect a Mind Magick effect on Corinna, but others were casting Mind effects at the same time. Could have been too difficult to detect with other resonances flying around. Plus by then I had a raging headache.
8. The next morning the paper ran a story about a defaced mural in the alley. "You Left a Mark" by Jalen Butler, a mural that was supposed to document the lives of homeless LGBTQI+ youth. Rune thinks the defacement may have been a potential attempt to disrupt an occult symbol that might have been hidden in the mural.

*Brian Mescaline, artist who maintains the "Mescaline Boutique," who spoke out against Butler. "There's literally a sig right when you walk in that says contact CAMP to paint in the alley. Butler could have solved his problem with the power of actually reading. Probably someone painted over his shit because he cut in line."
*Owner of building where Jalen painted. What did he see? Surveillance tapes? Did he actually ask Jalen to paint over graffiti? What did the graffiti look like?
*CAMP representative. Did Butler even try to apply to paint in the alley?

You Left A Mark was about a 6' x 8' work celebrating three people through portraiture, with their names. Two of them sit on a large, rolling suitcase, and another on the asphalt. On the left, a feminine person who is not conventionally passing, grins through a black eye and chipped teeth, their arm around their friend whose missing foot is wrapped in duct tape. It's a painful disarticulation at the ankle, and its implications are heroin, not hospital. In the center, the youngest of the trio holds a cardboard sign: "Please help feed our eating addiction!" Despite their gritty circumstances, Jalen's exuberant colorblocking and blending has catapulted their likenesses into a surreal world of glamor, like the floating editorial world of J.C. Leyendecker. The whole mural is full of light and atmosphere, with lush, saturated color.
The comments on the image are mostly an outpouring of support and outrage on Jalen's behalf. Stuff like, what a wonderful piece of art! Who would possibly paint over this? Someone should "do something" about CAMP's "monopoly" on the alley. They should have Jalen put it back. CAMP representatives are pieces of shit. CAMP is lying about not knowing who did it. XYZ did it. No, ABC did it, and we should kick their ass -- that sort of thing.

Auxilary Notes: Liliana has a file on hate crimes conducted against elderly Asians and initially postulated there might be a link between these incidents and the Clarion Alley incident. I am hesitant to draw a conclusion in that direction as the incident at the alley does not fit the pattern of these hate crimes, but am making a file note just in case it becomes important later.
