The Etherite who created the Chantry was rescued from a trash-filled Interstellar situation. A month of his time went by, but 40 years for everyone else. After discovering that he was essentially forgotten, and weathering further insults and injuries to his pride and his faith in his fellow Mage, Doctor Martin sent the modern day mages he saw as freeloaders packing.
