Zeros In Stats
If you have zero dots in a Talent (such as Brawl), you roll dice normally. If you have zero dots in a Skill (such as Firearms), you roll the skill at +2 difficulty no matter what. If you have zero dots in a Knowledge (such as Science), you simply do not roll. Please keep that in mind when statting your character.
Drive: Not required to simply know how to drive an automatic in regular daily commuting contexts. At least 1 dot required to operate a manual transmission or a commercial/large vehicle (bus, 18 wheeler). Rolled when driving competitively, in inclement weather, rough terrain, speeds over 60 mph, and in reaction to sudden obstacles.
Computer: Not required to simply know how to operate a computer, use a search engine to look up 'X', or navigate mainstream social media. A roll is required for all activities that involve knowledge of programming languages, data analytics/encryption/recovery, proprietary software and/or network security. If you have 0 Computer, your character does not understand how to properly conceal their online activity or secure their data.
Investigation: Investigation is understood in the sense of forensics, pathology, and navigating government records. Although it is a handy catch-all for finding out information, you do not explicitly need Investigation to do some sleuthing. Depending on what you're doing specifically, you may use abilities like Alertness (such as to discover details), Survival (such as to track someone), Law and Politics (going through government records) or Medicine (such as to diagnose a poisoning). However, Investigation is strictly required for uncovering, understanding, and preserving forensic evidence - plus minimizing or tampering with evidence left behind by your own character.
