= In Character Generation=
Sanctum is a standard Background bought with Background dots, Freebies, and Starting XP, at double cost (2 Background Points per dot, 2 Freebies per dot, 6 x current level XP per dot).

When you create a character and pick a Sanctum score, you will be asked to set a note called "'''sanctum'''" on your character. In this note, please disclose what your character's sanctum is. You will be able to pick a building out of the equipment listing in order to represent your sanctum regardless of your resources score.

If you already have a build (an apartment, a house, etc.) you will be encouraged to have Sanctum put in that existing space. If you do not have a build (due to, for instance, being Resources 0) then you will be able to have a build allocated to you to represent the Sanctum.
