Cult is a standard Background bought with Background dots, Freebies, and Starting XP.

When you create a character and pick a Cult score, you will be asked to set a note called "'''cult'''" on your character. In this note, please disclose what belief your cult members are united under.

The ST will then have you roll some dice vs 6 (+/- appropriate modifiers) to represent the act of networking and meeting a pool of people within that particular social circle. Each roll costs 1 Downtime. You need ''[3 x contacts rating]'' in successes.

Once you have acquired the required amount of successes, you will be able to purchase the next level of Cult, and then your +note will be updated if necessary. Since this is a Background, the cost is ''[3 x current Cult]''.
