 Claire was born in the early 1700s to a serf mother in Russia. After her mothers death from sickness she was taken in by the Usov family where she discovered she had a half brother, Grigory, who shared the same father with her. The two grew up together and eventually were inducted into the secret branch of the Usov family composed of vampires from various clans. Claire was taken in by the Gangrel to become a Protector of the bloodline and to aid her brother in his endeavors until a successor to him may be found. Even with her family duties Claire has her own objectives in the modern nights, normally seeking allies and "friends" in the lower places of society while her brother deals with the social elites, or she is found at the Eden hotel where she is employed as head of security.
