Per the book (this is not an HR, but a reminder): (WP + Arete) x Arete is the total number of dice a person can roll for a spell during ritual casting. (WP + Arete) is the maximum number of casting rolls you can apply to a single ritual.

We do use the optional rule to cap damage from magick attacks at 10 successes.
